“Speak Lord, Your Servant is Listening” was the theme for yesterday’s Convention. The Madison Diocesan Council of Catholic Women held its 71st Annual Convention on June 2, 2026. The beautiful Green Lake Conference Center was the location chosen this year. The day began with the business meeting led by President, Carol Rogers. During this time we elected new officers. Co- Presidents Jane Grinde and Carolyn Zentner, President-elect Marie Fleisner and Secretary Kathy Loy. The Province Director Diane Oakland and NCCW President- Elect Jane Schiszik shared some thoughts and news with us. The Alice Krystowiak Award was presented to a 1st youngest attendee. This year it was presented to Beth Zentner. Many wonderful vendors shared their talents and information with us. The Keynote Speaker, Melanie Frei was so well received. How grateful for us to have Melanie speak, be a vendor and she also was the cantor! Bishop Hying and many priests from the diocese celebrated Mass. Msgr. Duanne Mollenberndt
Installed the new board of MDCCW and Green Lake Vicariate. Ladies had time to walk the lovely grounds, buy raffle tickets or bid on silent auction items. The afternoon included a panel of three Catholic women, Carol Brennan, Melanie Frei and Marie Fleisner. They shared how they converted to Catholicism. We enjoyed hearing their stories. Marie Fleisner was the guest speaker. She introduced us to Retrouvaille. Her and her husband help marriages who are struggling with the help from Retrouvaille. The day concluded with raffle prize and silent auction winners. Lots of hugs and goodbyes were shared as we concluded our blessed day. 🙏🏻❤️
