Kentucky households can apply for LIHEAP Summer Subsidy from August 3 - September 11, 2026, to help offset cooling costs with a one-time electric benefit.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, or until funds are depleted.

Interested households in these counties should use the information below for application instructions.

Households must meet eligibility requirements, including household income of up to and including 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to qualify for assistance.

Benefits are paid directly to the household’s electric vendor.

No disconnect notice, past-due bill, or eviction notice is required to apply. Assistance received during previous LIHEAP components does not affect eligibility.
