Where do you go when your soul needs refreshing?

On a hot day, nothing feels better than jumping into a cool pool. We naturally seek refreshment when we're worn out physically. The same is true spiritually. Life can become overwhelming, exhausting, and draining. In Acts, we're reminded that true refreshment comes from God. Through repentance and turning to Him, we can experience "times of refreshing" from His presence. If your heart is weary and your spirit feels dry, the answer isn't found in escaping your problems—it's found in drawing closer to God.

You can win every argument online… and still lose people for Christ.

Jesus said the world would know we belong to Him not because of our buildings, worship sets, programs, or social media debates — but because of our love for one another. Real Christianity stands out when love becomes sacrificial, genuine, and consistent, even when it’s inconvenient. The church doesn’t lose credibility because truth doesn’t matter. It loses credibility when truth is spoken without kindness and conviction is disconnected from compassion. People aren’t searching for a perfect church. They’re searching for a church that loves like Jesus.

Everybody has a happy place… but how are you trying to get there?

Bald Man Walking here from the bridge on the way to one of my favorite places — the baseball field. There’s only one way to get there, and it made me think: if heaven is our happy place, how are we trying to reach it? Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the only way to the Father. Not religion. Not good works. Jesus is the bridge that leads us home.

Such a fun and joy-filled day with our Soul Sisters women’s ministry! 💜 We had the privilege of spending time at the retirement home playing BINGO with the ladies, sharing laughs, smiles, and sweet moments together.

It’s amazing how something as simple as a game can bring so much happiness and connection. Grateful for the opportunity to love on these wonderful women and make special memories together. ❤️

Are you carrying burdens God never asked you to haul?

Using the familiar image of a U-Haul truck, Bald Man Walking reminds us that many of us carry our worries, stress, and pain from place to place instead of giving them to God. Scripture tells us to cast our burdens on the Lord because He will sustain us and keep us from falling. Stop trying to carry everything on your own — let God do the heavy lifting.
