"If we know who Jesus is, we will not be surprised by what Jesus does."

After a man who had never walked jumps to his feet at the temple gate, the whole crowd is stunned, but Peter isn't. He looks at them and asks, "Why are you surprised?" This is the same Peter who used to stand open-mouthed every time Jesus did a miracle. What changed? He had been filled with the Holy Spirit.

Continuing our series in Acts, Blake walks through Acts 3:11–26 and shows how miracles are never the point on their own. They open a door to the message about Jesus. We look at why we sometimes settle for a "little Jesus" we only call on for small things, why spiritual readiness comes from relationship and not just preparation, how to make the most of every opportunity God puts in front of us (even the inconvenient ones), and why we need to know the whole of who Jesus is, not just the comfortable parts.

“I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have.” (Acts 3:6)

For 40 years, a man who couldn’t walk was carried to the temple gate to beg. Most people walked right past him. Peter and John stopped, looked at him and said, “Look at us.” They didn’t have money, but what they had was better: the name of Jesus. 🙌

This week Casey continued our journey through Acts with Give What You Got. It’s a message about seeing the people we usually walk past, meeting real needs instead of just wants, and remembering that the church’s greatest resource has never been money, buildings or programs. It has always been the name of Jesus.

Sometimes His name is all we have. The question is, is that enough?

Molly explores Adam and Eve’s choices in the Garden of Eden and the enemy’s tactics of distortion, distraction, deception, and temptation.

Through Scripture, this message reminds us that true wisdom comes from God even when His ways don’t make sense to us. God is faithful, provides a way through temptation, and offers us a way back to Him through Jesus Christ.

Knowing what to do is one thing. Living it out is another.
In “Live It Out,” Casey walks through Acts 2:42–47 and shows how the early church put faith into action through Scripture, fellowship, shared meals, prayer, and generosity.

What’s one step you can take this week? Open your Bible. Invite someone to your table. Pray with your family.

Every believer is a participant, not an observer.

The gospel is too good to keep to ourselves. Casey explores Peter’s message at Pentecost and challenges us to share what God has done in our lives. Through personal testimony, the truth of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and the power of Scripture, we can point others toward the hope found in Christ.
This message invites us to respond through repentance, faith, baptism, and receiving the Holy Spirit—and then carry the good news to our families, neighbors, coworkers, and those far from God.
Good news received is good news released.

Who will you share it with?
