Jesus is the true temple. That one in Jerusalem was destroyed about 40 years after Jesus ascended into heaven, as he had prophesied. But he remains, the true house of prayer, gathering "all the people" to himself.

On this day, the 250th anniversary of the signing of our nation's Declaration of Independence, we thank God for the many blessings He has afforded our nation, and we pray:
Grant peace, we pray, in mercy, Lord;
Peace in our time, O send us!
For there is none on earth but You,
None other to defend us.
You only, Lord, can fight for us.
