This week looks a little different for office hours. Today, we’re closed for Juneteenth and we’ll be closed again Wednesday as we set up a firework stand (there are still Wednesday night activities). We could use some more help on Wednesday morning, anytime from 8-5 PM.

Happy Father’s Day dads! Since they have so much “thyme” on their hands, we let them make their own spices. You “orega-know” these dads deserve some appreciation. We “onion-estly” had a great time. Don’t forget, you’re a big “dill” to us!

For the silly dad, the music-loving dad, the superhero dad, the dad in waiting, the dad who lost his dad, the cleaning up the milk spills dad, the off to soccer practice dad, the lawnmower dad, and all the dads. Freedom was finally announced on June 19th, 1865, when about 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as "Juneteenth," by the newly freed people in Texas. Though it took some time for everyone to finally be free, Juneteenth celebrates a good news brought to those who desperately needed it.

Jesus is good news. The freedom He offers us is good news. It is our heart to share the good news to those who desperately need it.

It’s easy to read this Beatitude from a place of comfort. But for many believers around the world, persecution is not theoretical.
It is costly.
It is painful.
It is real.

Jesus does not ignore that suffering. He meets it with a promise: the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who endure for His name.

Our BCC Youth had a wonderful time in Guatemala. We look forward to sharing more of the life transformation stories and how God blessed them during their time. Thank you church for keeping this next gen team in your prayers!

Our BCC Kids and leaders left this morning and made it to camp. Pray they have an amazing time and experience strong encounters with the Holy Spirit and God’s love. We can’t wait to see them when they get back! 🧡
