A Gospel-centered, missional church in the St. Louis Metro region that meets on Sunday mornings at 10:00am. What does our name mean?

Mission
It is the mission of August Gate Church to be disciples of Jesus who make more disciples by gathering around the Gospel, growing in community and going on mission. Vision
The vision of August Gate Church is to saturate the St. Louis Metro region with gospel-centered, missional churches. We see thousands of people all over Illinois and Missouri gathering around the Gospel to worship Jesus, growing in the Gospel by coming together in homes throughout the week and going with the Gospel as they live out what they believe in their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools and cities. The name August Gate comes from the tenth chapter of the book of Luke and figuratively means "Harvest the City".

Generous Community

We believe that God created us for community and relationships, and those relationships should be marked by generosity towards each other. We believe that it is God’s desire that we be in relationships in which we can be honest, confess sin, encourage one another, find unity in Christ, and grow together in the faith.

How do we fight for generous community in the church?

We fight for unity where there is unresolved conflict.
We fight for worship where there is worry.
We fight for contentment where there is complaining.
We fight for generosity where there is greed.

All first responders and military members are invited to join us November 14 at 9am!

R&R 201 is a time to develop and prepare for the moments when we have the opportunity to share the hope we have in Christ with those we work alongside. The unique experiences we encounter as first responders often lead to challenging questions and meaningful conversations with our coworkers.

Join us November 14 at 9am as we learn how to navigate and lead conversations about our faith as first responders and military members.

Compelling Truth

Submitting to the Truth is what truly sets us free.

We believe that Jesus’ primary purpose in coming was to testify to truth. This truth is the Gospel, and we should always seek to make it compelling to those who don’t believe. Because we bear the name of Christ, we should therefore be witnesses of the truth, believing that it is only that truth – the Gospel – that will set us free.

Family 🤍

Whether we worship inside our outside, some things remain the same.

God’s word is preached.
The name of Jesus is lifted high.
Strangers become friends who become family.
