We are so excited that Joel is going to be leading a Parenting on Purpose class right here at Camp Occohannock. Joel is a certified instructor for Parent Effectiveness Training and is leading a 6 week class for parents this fall.

This is the perfect class for those who are looking to improve communication through listening, responses and guiding your children to solve problems so that everyone wins!

Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings starting October 7 from 6:30p.m. - 8p.m.

Information on cost, and even info on the discount for a couple to take the class is below. Fees include instruction, materials (book and workbook) and the opportunity to change how your family communicates!!!

Are you feeling it like we are? We miss the good times: the canoe trips, the campfires, singing so many songs, the endless Gaga games and water slide moments. We miss the laughter, the joy and praising God with you all.

So we are with you. We are Campsick.
While we are making plans for Summer 2027, we hope you’ll share what you miss most about camp.

Camp Occohannock had the honor and privilege to host breakfast for the Leo Wardrup Memorial Cape Charles Cup early this morning. Thanks to the work and coordination of Paula, we served breakfast for 220 participants for their annual sailing event/race. Each person had a wonderful bagged breakfast and lots of coffee too! What a fun opportunity and a blessing to participate in this local annual sailing event!!!

Our Day Camp, this summer, was a blast! We dove into the stories of the Bible, played lots of new games and made memories. This is just the tiniest collection of a summer of fun for campers ages 4-9! We saw record numbers and were excited by our community moving a Christian option for their kiddos in the summer!! Whether they came once, a few times, or all summer, Day Camp was a highlight for sure!
