This Sunday is birthday Sunday! We will be celebrating all the September birthdays with a carry in dinner after worship. In our worship celebration we will be reading Romans 13:8-14 and Matthew 18:15-20 and we will be singing:

Sanctuary
Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving, I'll be a living sanctuary for you.

Opening Prayer: Psalm 31:21-24
Praise be to the Lord, for he showed me the wonders of his love
when I was in a city under siege. In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from your sight!” Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.
Love the Lord, all his faithful people! The Lord preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he repays in full. Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. Amen

O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing
O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise,
the glories of my God and king, the triumphs of God's grace!

Jesus, the name that charms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease;
'tis music in the sinner's ears, 'tis life, and health, and peace.

My loving Savior and my God, assist me to proclaim
to spread through all the earth abroad the honors of thy name.

Glory to God and praise and love be ever, ever given
by saints below and saints above, the church in earth and heaven.

Draw U in the Spirit’s Tether
Draw us in the Spirit's tether, for when humbly in your name,
two or three are met together, you are in the midst of them;
alleluia, alleluia! Touch we now your garment's hem.

All our meals and all our living make as sacraments of you,
that by caring, helping, giving, we may be disciples true.
Alleluia, alleluia! we will serve with faith anew.

I Bind My Heart This Tide
I bind my heart this tide to the Galilean's side,
to the wounds of Calvary, to the Christ who died for me.I bind my soul this day to the brother far away,
and the sister near at hand, in this town, and in this land.

I bind my heart in thrall to the God, the Lord of all,
to the God, the poor one's friend, and the Christ whom God did send.
I bind myself to peace, to make strife and envy cease.
God knit thou sure the cord of my thralldom to the Lord!

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen

Sending Forth
L:Holy Spirit, holy fire
P:Kindle a fire in my heart
L:let it burst into a roaring flame.
P:That I may be the light in someone’s darkness!

Let us celebrate together at Third and High, or on this site, Sunday at 10:45ish.

Love,
Dan

He Is Lord
He is Lord, he is Lord! He is risen from the dead and he is Lord!
Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..

Lord, You Give the Great Commission
Lord, you give the great commission: “Heal the sick and preach the word.” Lest the church neglect its mission, and the gospel go unheard,
help us witness to your purpose with renewed integrity:
Refrain:
With the Spirit’s gifts empow’r us for the work of ministry.

Lord, you call us to your service: “In my name, baptize and teach.”
That the world may trust your promise, life abundant meant for each,
give us all new fervor, draw us closer in community: [Refrain]

One Bread, One Body
One bread, one body, one Lord of all One cup of blessing which we bless
And we, though many, throughout the Earth We are one body in this one Lord
Gentile or Jew Servant or free Woman or man No more
One bread, one body, one Lord of all One cup of blessing which we bless
And we, though many, throughout the Earth We are one body in this one Lord
Many the gifts, many the works One in the Lord Of all
One bread, one body, one Lord of all One cup of blessing which we bless And we, though many, throughout the Earth We are one body in this one Lord

The Lord's Prayer

This Sunday, we will be reading Psalm 67 and Matthew 15:21-28 and we will be singing:

Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. Amen

All People that on Earth Do Dwell
All people that on earth do dwell, sing out your faith with cheerful voice;
delight in God whose praise you tell, whose presence calls you to rejoice.

Proclaim again that God is good, whose mercy is for ever sure;
whose truth at all times firmly stood, and shall from age to age endure.

There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy
There's a wideness in God's mercy, like the wideness of the sea;
there's a kindness in God's justice, which is more than liberty.

There is welcome for the sinner, and more graces for the good!
There is mercy with the Savior; there is healing in his blood.

For the love of God is broader than the measure of our mind;
and the heart of the Eternal is most wonderfully kind.

If our love were but more simple, we would rest upon God's word;
and our lives would be illumined by the presence of the Lord.

The Voice of Jesus Calls His People
The voice of Jesus calls his people, "Come to my table and be fed!"
For those who come to him believing, he is the W**e, he is the Bread.
All who are lost, or bear great burdens, all who need comfort or release,
come where the presence of Christ Jesus will nourish us with rest and peace.
Children and elders, mean and women, whatever color, race or tongue, in Jesus find themselves united, in him a home where they belong. We hear your loving voice, O Jesus, we long, we hunger to be fed in joy we gather at the table where you are W**e, and you are Bread.

Amen
