BBCCC Worship Church worship service

05/31/2026
05/27/2026

This Sunday we will be reading Romans 12:9-16b and Luke 1:39-57 and we will be singing:
Sanctuary
Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving, I'll be a living sanctuary for you.

Opening Prayer: Psalm 31:21-24

Praise be to the Lord, for he showed me the wonders of his love
when I was in a city under siege. In my alarm I said, “I am cut off from your sight!” Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.
Love the Lord, all his faithful people! The Lord preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he repays in full. Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. Amen

O Worship the King
O worship the King all glorious above,
and gratefully sing God's wonderful love,
our Shield and Defender, the Ancient of Days,
pavilioned in splendor and girded with praise.

Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail,
in you do we trust, nor find you to fail;
your mercies how tender, how firm to the end,
our Maker, Defender, Redeemer, and Friend!

Hymn Sing

Help Us Accept Each Other
Help us accept each other as Christ accepted us;
teach us as sister, brother, each person to embrace.
Be present, Lord, among us and bring us to believe
We are ourselves accepted, and meant to love and live.

Lord, for today's encounters with all who are in need,
who hunger for acceptance, for justice, and for bread,
we need new eyes for seeing, new hands for holding on;
renew us with your Spirit; Lord, free us, make us one!

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen

Sending Forth

This Sunday we will be reading Psalm 68:1-10, 32-35 and John 17:1-11 and we will be singing:

Amen

To God Be the Glory
To God be the glory, great things he hath done! So loved he the world that he gave us his Son, who yielded his life an atonement for sin, and opened the life gate that all may go in.

Refrain:
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the earth hear his voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, let the people rejoice!
Oh, come to the Father, thru Jesus the Son,
and give him the glory, great things he hath done.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, to every believer the promise of God; the vilest offender who truly believes, that moment from Jesus a pardon receives. [Refrain]

A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
our helper he, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing.
For still our ancient foe does seek to work us woe;
his craft and power are great, and armed with cruel hate,
on earth without an equal.

Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing, but there is one who takes our side, the one of God's own choosing. You ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is he;
Lord Sabaoth his with mighty power to save, victorious o’er the grave, Christ will prevail triumphant!

And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us, we will not fear, for God has willed the truth to triumph through us. The powers of darkness grim, we tremble not for them; their rage we can endure, for lo! their doom is sure; one little word shall fell them.

Loving Lord, as Now We Gather
Loving Lord, as now we gather, of that love unworthy still, give us courage to surrender rebel heart and stubborn will,
and in us, in faith maturing, all your promises fulfill.

Holy Lord, as here you give us bread and wine, as means of grace, grant to every true believer now to meet you face to face,
and to own, in silent wonder, Lord, how holy is this place.

Amen

05/09/2026

Tomorrow is Mother's Day. Remember to honor and thank all the mothers in your life; the biological one and the others who helped shape your life. In worship we will be reading Psalm 66:8-20 and John 14:15-21 and we will be singing:Sanctuary

Amen

I Love to Tell the Story
I love to tell the story of unseen things above, of Jesus and his glory,
of Jesus and his love. I love to tell the storybecause I know 'tis true;
it satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.

[Refrain:]
I love to tell the story, 'twill be my theme in glory, to tell the old, old story
of Jesus and his love.

I love to tell the story, for those who know it best seem hungering and thirsting to hear it like the rest. And when, in scenes of glory, I sing the new, new song, 'twill be the old, old story that I have loved so long. [Refrain]

Amen

The Voice of God Is Calling
The voice of God is calling to women and to men; the voice once heard in Zion, resounds on earth again: Whom shall I send to succor my people in their need? Whom shall I send to loosen the bonds of shame and greed?

I hear my people crying in slum and mine and mill; no field or mart is silent, no city street is still. I see my people falling
in darkness and despair. Whom shall I send to shatter the fetters which they bear?

We heed, O God, your summons, and answer: Here are we! Send us upon your errand, let us your servants be. Our strength is dust and ashes, our years a passing hour, But you can use our weakness to magnify your power.

From ease and plenty save us; from pride of place absolve; purge us of low desire; lift us to high resolve; take us, and make us holy; teach us your will and way. Speak, and behold! we answer; command, and we obey!

Lo, I Am with You
Lo, I am with you to the end of the world.
Lo, I am with you to the end of the world.
Lo, I am with you. Lo, I am with you.
Lo, I am with you to the end of the world.

Lo, I am with you in the breaking of bread.
Lo, I am with you in the breaking of bread.
Lo, I am with you. Lo, I am with you.
Lo, I am with you in the breaking of bread.

Lo, I am with you in the drinking of wine.
Lo, I am with you in the drinking of wine.
Lo, I am with you. Lo, I am with you.
Lo, I am with you in the drinking of wine.

Sending Forth
L:Christ is risen!
P:Christ is risen indeed!
L:Go now as risen people.
P: Alive in the spirit and way of Christ.

Love,
Dan
