We pray for all Bible believing, truth preaching churches around the world 🌎 but today our heart is heavy for our region. Will you join us in praying this specific, strategic prayer for the churches in our state?
A Call to Prayer for the Churches of Arkansas 🙏
Church, scripture reminds us that our true battle is never against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12). One of the enemy's oldest strategies to disrupt the work of God is to sow seeds of division, gossip, and lies within congregations.
We must remember a sobering truth: God hates division and discord, and He will not bless it (Proverbs 6:19). When we let words tear down instead of build up, we actively compromise the very unity that Jesus prayed believers would have.
Today, let’s stand together in the gap and pray a shield of protection over every church across Arkansas, from our biggest cities to our smallest rural communities.
Lord, we ask that You:
•Bring deep repentance and healing to the Body, turning hearts back to You and restoring the broken areas within our churches.
•Make us a people of Your presence, completely dependent on You so that our communities are transformed by Your Holy Spirit.
•Help us represent Jesus well to non-believers, drawing the world to You by the way we live and honor Your name.
•Fill us with the Fruit of the Spirit, causing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to overflow from our lives (Galatians 5:22-23).
•Guard our tongues, helping us speak only what is helpful for building others up (Ephesians 4:29).
•Give us the courage to handle conflict biblically, committing to the direct process Jesus commanded in Matthew 18:15-17
•Expose and silence lies, rumors, and gossip that target our local congregations, replacing them with Your absolute truth.
•Heal division and discord, binding us together in perfect harmony and love.
•Protect Arkansas pastors and leaders from underhanded scrutiny, giving them supernatural discernment, endurance, and peace to withstand attacks.
Stay On Mission: The Great Commission 🌍
As we pray for unity, we must remember why unity matters: it fuels our mission. Jesus did not call us to internal comfort, but to global impact. A unified church is a powerful church, equipped to fulfill the ultimate assignment given to us by Christ:
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." — Matthew 28:19-20
When we resolve conflict God's way, silence gossip, and heal division, we clear the way to do what matters most—sharing the Gospel, making disciples, and baptizing new believers. Our unity is the baseline; the Great Commission is the mission. Let’s keep our eyes on the harvest fields of Arkansas and beyond!
Jesus said the world would know we are His disciples by our love for one another (John 13:35). Let’s choose to be a people who protect one another's character, speak life over our churches, and fight for unity on our knees.
"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!" — Psalm 133:1
If you are standing in agreement for repentance, healing, biblical unity, and the mission of the churches of Arkansas today, drop an "Amen" in the comments. Let's cover our state in prayer!
