Morning Star Baptist Church Welcome to Morning Star Baptist Church. It is our prayer to do more for the upkeep of God's kingdom!!! The first pastor of the church was the late Rev. Charles E.

Church History

In the year 1880, the Springfield Baptist Church was founded. John Price, who served a number of years. Late in the year, the pastor and members changed the name of the church to Morning Star Baptist Church. A Sunday School department was organized, and Bro. John Harris was the first Superintendent. The church, Sunday School, and the community grew rapidly. The following ministers

were called to pastor the church: First, Rev. John Price, then, Rev. CM Ellis, Rev. WM Forrester, Rev. RR Robinson, Rev. John Redd, Rev. JW Goins, Rev. WP Strickland, Rev. WC Darby, Rev. Elmer Day, Rev. WJ Carter, Rev. David Allen, Rev. Thomas Moore, and our present pastor for the pastor 30 years, Rev. Gore Jr. In 1880, the church was founded by a few consecrated people having the earnest desire to worship and draw others to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is our prayer to do more for the upkeep of God’s house and the advancement of His Kingdom. About our Pastor

In December, of 1991, the members of Morning Star Baptist Church called Rev. to pastor this church. On April 5, 1992, Rev. Gore was formally installed as pastor.
