Letter from the Pastor

Good morning and welcome to Maple Fork Baptist Church. I thank the Lord for each of you and for Him bringing us together today. If you’re visiting with us today, we are certainly glad to have you! Make yourself at home!
The Lord has been giving me a recurring message over and over again this past week. It’s been a reminder that He came here, in human form, to save the lost. But even deeper than that, that NO ONE is excluded from His calling. No amount of sin or unbelief or lifestyle is beyond His salvation promise!
There are a great number of folks in our society, maybe sitting among us today even, that Satan has manipulated and convinced that they are beyond repair. Convinced them that even if Christ could save them that they are too broken to even live for Him. But you see, that’s taking a small amount of truth and adding a large amount of deception. The truth is we are all unable to live for him. But the greater truth is how He enables us when we trust Him!
This message the Lord has laid on my heart isn’t just for the Lost however. It is also a reminder to the disciples! No person is excluded and it’s certainly not our role to exclude anyone based on our opinion! As we look at the calling of Matthew today, put yourself in the shoes of Jesus and see how we can become more like Him!

Matthew 9:12 “…They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.”

Your to do list will always be there. The world is constantly pulling us somewhere else. Take a couple hours to spend with God and Gods people, to praise, worship, pray, open your Bible and find rest.
Bring it to the one who provides. To the one who brings the security you’re searching for. Slowing down doesn’t have to feel irresponsible. Let yourself be reminded that you are not carrying your life by yourself. Join is in church Sunday.

Big Thanks to all who gave, shopped, helped work, ate and supported in so many ways! We had a great couple of days and our youth will benefit with a trip to church camp!
Nothing is better than working along side Gods people! So much love and laughter!
