As followers of Jesus, we are fundamentally a people of freedom. We celebrate the work of Jesus not only in freeing us personally, but in dismantling every system and structure that keeps others bound.

Today we pause to commemorate June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans finally received news of their freedom, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. That delay is a sobering reminder of how long justice can be withheld, and why we must continue to pursue it.

Today, we choose to learn, lament, and celebrate. We stand in solidarity with our African American brothers and sisters, praying for a future that fully reflects the Kingdom of God, where every person is seen, valued, and set free.

Calling all 4th & 5th graders!

This summer, we’re excited to host our BCC Kids Campout — and your 4th & 5th grader are invited! Join us for a fun overnight experience where kids can build friendships, play together, worship, and hear the gospel in a meaningful way. We’ll wrap up the weekend by serving our community together through the Love Beaverton event on Saturday, August 1st. We hope you can join us for this special time!
