"It is better to meditate a little bit with depth than to meditate long with the mind running here and there. If you do not make an effort to control the mind it will go on doing as it pleases, no matter how long you sit to meditate."
— Paramhansa Yogananda ✨
Quality over quantity — this is just as true in meditation as it is in life.
Both on and off the cushion, willpower and inner focus are essential — not just to quiet the mind, but to consciously shape the quality and direction of our thoughts. Every moment is an opportunity to gently turn the mind toward peace, clarity, kindness, and God-remembrance, rather than letting it drift into restlessness or negativity.
Little by little, with patience and practice, the mind learns a new way of being. 🙏
We'd love to hear from you: What helps you carry that inner stillness with you after meditation — as you move through the busyness of your day?
