Marriage is a gift from God, but a strong marriage doesn’t happen accidentally. It’s built in the everyday moments, choosing patience when you’re frustrated, forgiveness when feelings are hurt, and grace when your spouse falls short. Some of the greatest threats to marriage aren’t always huge moments; sometimes they’re small things like resentment, distraction, pride, or simply allowing distance to grow. Today, ask God to help you notice those things early and choose to fight for each other, not against each other.
And remember that your marriage was never meant to be carried by the two of you alone. When life gets busy, stressful, or emotions change, God remains steady. Keep inviting Him into your conversations, decisions, disagreements, and dreams. Pray for your spouse, speak life over them, and choose friendship with one another again and again. Let today be a reminder that keeping Jesus at the center doesn’t mean your marriage will never face difficulty, it means you never have to face that difficulty without Him.
