God has great plans for our lives. However, some of the things that we experience don’t always feel good or seem good. But God has a way of taking every wrong choice, every mishap, every setback and maneuvering things in such a way that it ALL works together for our ultimate good! Instead of getting discouraged when we encounter a not so good experience, we must see that experience as a necessary ingredient that God will use to prepare us to fulfill the GREAT plans He has for us.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”.
Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬

So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose. Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬

Great Friday!

When life throws unexpected curve balls our way and we find ourselves faced with challenge after challenge… situations that are beyond our control. It is in those moments we have to review the evidence. Review the evidence of who God is and ALL He has done… then release every concern to God. We are not designed to carry the weight of the burdens, BUT GOD can handle it and He is in control of it ALL! In the times when we cry out to God for help, He gives us hope, strength and comfort. We may not be able to escape the difficulty of the situation at hand, but God will bless us with an abundance of PEACE right in the midst of it.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. Psalm 18:2

Gracious God, Your Word promises that in all things, You work for the good of those who love you and have been called according to Your purpose. Sometimes it's hard for us to wrap our minds around this truth... especially when we are in the middle of a difficult situation. God, help us to always remember that no matter what challenges we face, as we seek You, yield to You and allow You to work in us and through us by the power of Your Holy Spirit… You will fulfill Your promise to us and cause EVERYTHING to work together for our good. Lord, we give You our doubts, our fears, our concerns and EVERY challenge we encounter. Father we trust You completely and we believe that You will work it all out for our good. In Jesus Name, Amen.

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. Romans ‭8:28‬

Seed of Encouragement

Remain calm and stay focused on God. Refuse to allow the stress of challenging situations and circumstances take its toll. Instead of trying to push ourselves beyond the normal limits, we can trust God for help and for wisdom in handling the difficulties. He is with us always to empower us, to provide what we need and to fill us with His peace.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
Psalm 23:1-2

Great Tuesday!

Seed of Encouragement

Feelings change constantly so we have to be mindful to depend on our faith over our feelings. Faith in God… faith in His Word… faith in His faithfulness. God knows how we feel. He knows we can feel excited one minute and disappointed the next. He knows we can feel certain in one moment and crushed by doubt in the next. He knows we can be feeling strong and courageous and then suddenly start feeling overcome by fear. We can’t stop the feelings from showing up, but we can let faith greet them when they arrive. God tells us in His Word that He is GREATER than our feelings. So, we must continue to walk in faith despite how we feel, trusting that God will reward our faithfulness.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬

God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. 1 John 3:20

God's Word will not return to Him void. In Psalm 23 God says that He PREPARES a table... a feast... a banquet for you!!! God knows what's best for you and He knows what you need. So, go ahead and thank Him in advance for the table… for the feast… for the banquet that He is preparing for you. Trust and believe that it will exceed your expectations… it will be more than you can ask or even imagine!!!

You prepare a banquet for me while my enemies watch. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Psalm 23:5‬

Choose to walk in peace… choose to focus on gratitude… choose to speak with faith and expect God’s best. God has brought us through too much for us to start doubting His ability to bring us through what’s going on now. Nothing the enemy tries to do can stop His promises from being fulfilled in our lives.

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Psalm 23‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭

Great Wednesday!

Seed of Encouragement

Sometimes we can be so tired... physically, mentally and emotionally... that even though we go to sleep, we are not getting the rest that we need. We wake up feeling drained and exhausted. This is an indication that we carrying burdens and not surrendering them to God. It’s a sign that we are trying to do things on our own, more than we are trusting God to do what He has promised. We have to be intentional and cast all of our cares upon God… not just some of them… ALL of them. When we cast our cares upon Him, we can rest in Him and allow Him to give us the refreshing that we need.

He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised. Psalm‬ ‭23‬:‭2-3‬

If you need it, trust that The Lord will provide it! The Lord IS your shepherd. The Lord IS your provider. The Lord IS your healer. The Lord IS your protector. The Lord IS your guide. And because HE IS, you shall have!!! God has promised it in His Word and you can trust that HE IS FAITHFUL to fulfill His Word. Don’t doubt it, only BELIEVE!!!
