Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach! Shavuot, meaning "weeks" in Hebrew, is a major Jewish holiday that falls exactly seven weeks after Passover. It celebrates the historic giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and also marks the ancient agricultural festival of the wheat harvest and first fruits.
Rabbi Stern will be on the Bimah this weekend, May 22nd & May 23rd. Join us this weekend to celebrate the holiday of Shavuot, the day on which we received the 10 Commandments.
Friday Shabbat Service: 7PM, followed by an Oneg. Rabbi's talk: "Recreate the procession of offering first fruits upon entering the land of Israel."
Saturday Shabbat starts at 10AM, followed by a nosh and talk. Rabbi's talk: "Hear the reading of the 10 Commandments and discover how it sparked the Jewish imagination."
Doors will be locked at the start of each service. Newcomers are welcome to message and attend. Join us in shul or on Zoom (Members only).
