*Call to Worship Ronald Dunn
Christ speaks peace,
To your heart and to mine.
Christ speaks peace,
To storms within and storms without.
The question is,
Will we listen?
Will we hear?
And will we live Christ’s peace?
*Opening Hymn Spirit of the Living God
Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me. Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me.
Melt me, mold me, fill me, use me. Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me.
Soul of heaven, heart of God, wash over me. Soul of heaven, heart of God, wash over me.
Cleanse me, teach me, hold me, reach me. Soul of heaven, heart of God, wash over me.
Holy presence, love divine, cast out my fear. Holy presence, love divine, cast out my fear.
Shield me, free me, call me, lead me. Holy presence, love divine, cast out my fear.

Responsive Prayer
Holy Lord,
We were called to peace and yet we fail.
We fail to understand those who are different from us.
We write others off because they don’t matter to us,
forgetting that they are of infinite value to You.
We let hurts fester and disagreements grow,
instead of seeking the peace brought about by
forgiveness and the offering of grace.
And here we are now,
seeking Your forgiveness.
Forgive us Lord, and help us.
Help us to see others as You see them,
as Your beloved children and the neighbors You call us to love.
As we trust Your love and grace to welcome us,
help us to welcome and seek peace with others. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
Jesus knows our every weakness, and loves us still. Because of Christ,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. In the name of Christ,
you are forgiven.
In the name of Christ, you are forgiven. Amen! Praise the Lord!

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
