Our joint Good Friday service will be tonight at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Plymouth at 8 p.m.

"He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5)

Our Good Friday service will take place on April 3 as we follow our Savior to the cross of Calvary and see how his death defeated the Devil and won life for us.

We will gather for our Midweek Lenten services on Thursday evenings at 5:30 p.m.

This year our theme focuses on the prophecies from Zechariah that relate to Jesus’ Holy Week passion, death, and resurrection.

Good morning!

We are mostly through the first winter storm of the year. Because of the rain initially, side roads are icy and the sidewalks can be difficult. Please be very careful as you come into church this morning because of the potential for ice.

If you are uncomfortable or feel uneasy managing some icy spots on the sidewalks, please stay home and stay safe. As always the St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School - Plymouth, NE service will be broadcast on KWBE and live-streamed on the St. Paul's website, Facebook, and YouTube.

This morning marks the beginning of our Advent season and a new church year. More than a "pre-Christmas," Advent prepares our hearts for our Savior's coming [1] in the flesh as the child born in Bethlehem; [2] on the Last Day when he will return as judge; and [3] even today in Word and Sacrament.

God promises that his people will share in eternal glory with him. Tomorrow morning we'll see what it means that you get to be called a saint of God....all because of our Savior Jesus.

We'll remember some dear brothers and sisters whom the Lord has called home to heaven this past year and praise the Lord for their eternal home in heaven.

We begin another year of Theology on Tap Bible Study at Stone Hollow Brewery in Beatrice.

Mondays at 7 p.m. October 20 - December 15

Our class this year is called "The Lutheran Difference" which means digging into what God's Word has to tell us about issues for this life and eternity.

We'll ask the question "What Does This Mean?" by seeing

—What the Bible Says
—What Lutherans Confess
—What the world says

and finally answering "What difference does it make?"

Dear Friends,

It has pleased our Almighty God to call to himself the soul of our brother in Christ, Dale Pieper.

We rejoice in Dale's crown of life through Jesus while keeping Janice and all his family in our prayers.

Dale's Christian Funeral Service will be this Friday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. here at Christ Lutheran Church. The committal service will follow at Evergreen Home Cemetery.

Dale was born on May 13th, 1932 and passed away on September 12th, 2025 at the age of 93

Our Almighty Lord, in his wisdom, has called to himself the soul of our brother in Christ, Kevin Naber.

We rejoice in the crown of life Kevin now has and also mourn Kevin's passing here on earth. We continue to keep Jackie and all their family in our prayers that the Lord give them peace and comfort.

Because of space considerations at Christ Lutheran, Kevin's funeral will be held at our sister church, St. Paul's in Plymouth, on Thursday, July 3 at 10:30 a.m.

It has pleased our Almighty God to call to himself the soul of our sister in Christ, Mary Spang.

We rejoice in the crown of life our Savior won for Mary and we ask God's comfort for her family and all who mourn her departure from this earthly life.

Mary's Christian Funeral will be Tuesday, June 3 at 10:30 a.m. here at Christ Lutheran Church.

Mary was born on March 29th, 1946 and passed away on May 27th, 2025 at the age of 79
