Beginning Monday, September 14, work will begin to repave the parking lot between Msgr. Purick Hall and the Msgr. Coffey Center.

We expect these lots to be available on weekends; however, there will be no parking in this area Monday through Friday for at least two weeks. This will particularly affect volunteers and clients visiting Parish Social Ministry, as well as parents bringing children to Religious Education and those attending daily Mass.

Once this phase is complete, work will begin on the parking lots surrounding the rectory. That project will be more extensive, as new drainage must be installed. The reconfigured lots will provide several additional parking spaces and make more efficient use of the available space.

We are deeply grateful to a generous donor who is covering the cost of these important improvements to our parish property. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation while the work is underway.

This morning, our parish gathered at St. Patrick’s Cemetery on Brentwood Road for a special 8:00 a.m. Mass commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Fr. Tom Poth, S.M.M., presided, assisted by Deacons Joe, Frank and Greg. Behind the altar stood the statue of the Blessed Mother dedicated by Fr. Jack in 2001 in memory of all who lost their lives on September 11.

Together, we remembered the victims, prayed for their families and honored the courage and sacrifice of the first responders and all those whose lives were forever changed by that tragic day.

May Mary, Queen of Peace, intercede for us, and may God grant eternal rest to all who died. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Our new September 11 Memorial on the west side of St. Patrick’s Church is complete. Created in observance of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, this permanent memorial will provide a place for prayer, remembrance, and reflection as we honor the victims and heroes of that tragic day and carry their memory across generations.

We are grateful to everyone who helped bring this project to completion. Special thanks to Tommy Costello of Costello Landscaping for the beautiful landscaping and to Tom Fricke of Fricke Memorials for his work on the granite memorial piece that serves as the centerpiece of the garden. We also thank Billy and Sean Knapp for helping with the assembly of the two memorial benches and Deacon Greg for his assistance in having the historic gate from the former church baptistry refinished and incorporated into the memorial.

Most especially, we thank the generous donors whose contributions made this memorial possible. Through their generosity, this sacred space has been created as a lasting tribute for our parish and community for generations to come.

Please join us September 11, at 7:15 p.m. for the blessing and dedication of the September 11 Memorial. All are welcome as we gather to remember, to pray, and to ensure that we never forget.
