With deep reverence and heartfelt sorrow, the Chief Incumbent, Resident Monks, and Members of Blue Lotus Buddhist Vihara, Louisiana, wish to express our most sincere condolences to the Most Venerable Peradeniye Sujatha Thero, Founder of the Blue Lotus Temples, on the passing of his beloved mother.

The loss of a mother is one of the most profound griefs a person can bear. She who gave life, love, and unwavering support to a son who has devoted his life to the Dhamma and the service of countless beings, her merit is immeasurable, and her legacy lives on through the noble work of Venerable Sujatha Thero.
May the Triple Gem be her refuge in this transition. May the boundless merit she has accumulated through her son’s sacred service guide her toward the highest peace. May she be reborn in a realm of happiness, light, and Dhamma.

We hold Venerable Sujatha Thero and his family in our prayers and thoughts during this time of grief. May the Dhamma bring comfort, strength, and solace to his heart.
