Christ the King at LSU

Christ the King at LSU Your home away from home since 1939. YOU were made for relationship. Unfortunately we are all broken through sin.

In the fullness of time, God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to repair that relationship and bring us back to life. Through prayer, the Sacraments, and relationship with Jesus, we can all begin to live this eternity now. (Acts 2:42)

"The Church, far beyond this campus, needs you now. And you're ready. Not because you have all the answers, but because you know the One who does. Not because you're perfect, but because you're rooted in his love.

Go as men and women who are loved by Christ; go as friends of Christ; go as bold witnesses, not by force, but by the quiet, steady clarity of your lives.

And wherever you find yourself, know that the Church, the community, and this altar will always be a home for you, and this priest will always pray for you.

Congratulations, class of 2026. You are loved. Remain in his love. Be fearless in sharing it."

Fr. Mathew Dunn, Baccalaureate Mass, Thursday, May 14, 2026

Each May, the Church invites us to draw closer to Jesus through Mary.

Through this invitation, we see that sanctity is not reserved for the extraordinary. It is hidden in the ordinary, it is obedient, it is humble, and it has complete trust in God.

Let us turn to our mother with renewed devotion.
