Paul knew what it was like to suffer. He was all too familiar with persecution and hardship - and with the weight of knowing he once persecuted Christians himself. In those dark valleys, it would have been easy to condemn himself or believe that God couldn’t possibly love or forgive him.

But Paul knew God’s character and His promises. And he refused to let his circumstances or emotions cloud the truth. He was secure in Christ - not because of what he had done, but in spite of it.

If you’ve ever struggled through hard seasons, doubts, or self-condemnation...the book of Romans is for you. Visit joinbsf.com to study this book in community!

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans is willing to ask the hard questions, but its answers always point us back to God’s character and God’s promises.

Paul’s letter is all about the gospel. It addresses what it means to believe in Jesus and what it looks like to live a life transformed by faith.

If you’re a new believer or wrestling with questions about faith, Romans is the book for you.

Want to study Romans in community? Visit joinbsf.com to join us at Christ Covenant Church on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm starting September 15!

We celebrate the life of Rosemary Jensen and honor her faithful leadership as BSF Executive Director from 1980-2000.

During her tenure as BSF’s second Executive Director, classes grew from 280 to 971 and The Life of Moses and Romans studies were added. But the totality of her impact cannot be measured this side of eternity.

We remember that we study and serve in BSF today because others walked faithfully before us. We thank God for Rosemary Jensen and her shaping influence on the ministry of BSF. While we miss her, we celebrate her entry into heaven to join her Lord and Savior. Please join us in praying for her family.

“The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

The book of Romans is all about the transforming power of faith in Jesus Christ. It frees us from the power and penalty of sin, and into adoption as children of God. This profound and undeserved gift impacts every aspect of our lives.

In our upcoming study, Romans: From Guilt to Grace, we’ll spend 30 weeks diving deep into Paul’s letter to the Romans.

Join us Tuesday evenings starting 9/8 at 6:30 pm and be transformed! joinbsf.com

Starting a Bible study doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.

WordGo offers a simple, guided way to walk through Scripture with daily questions and reflections that keep you engaged throughout the week.

It also helps groups stay connected through shared responses and prayer along the way.

Each study is written by the same team that crafts BSF’s 30-week study each year, so you can trust the depth behind it.

If you’ve been thinking about it, pray about who you might invite—and take a simple step of faith 🤍
