This Foster Care Awareness Month, The CALL shared with our church family about the urgent need facing children in Sharp and Independence Counties: around 80 local children are currently in foster care, and nearly 80% of those are placed outside our community due to the shortage of local foster homes.

The CALL is working to close the gap, and there are several ways to partner in that effort. Together we can help ensure children in crisis experience safety, love, and hope close to home.

As a church we are supporting local kids in care in a tangible way by collecting bottles of shampoo and conditioner in a basket in the foyer. To connect as a CALL volunteer, learn more about donating, join the prayer team, or explore the idea of fostering, connect with or reach out to Ashley Beller by messaging her or the church directly.

Demo on the Redeemer House began this morning!! So many people came out to lend a helping hand and use their gifts, talents, and tools to get the deck torn down, kitchen gutted, backyard cleared, electric cleaned up, boxes cleared out, trees taken down, made and brought delicious food and drinks, and filled TWO dumpsters full rubble. THANK YOU to everyone who came out. We literally could not have done this without you!!

We are so excited about this new space as a place to fellowship together and serve our community, and we can’t wait to share progress in the coming weeks and months! ❤️
