I met a young man named Sky today while visiting a correctional facility where our ministry partner, Freedom Lake Ministries, walks alongside residents seven days a week.
For nine years, this team has faithfully prayed, served, and loved residents one at a time. Through their ministry, 3,981 residents have been discipled and 994 baptized.
Abandoned as a child, Sky spent years moving from foster home to foster home. By age 11, he had come to believe nobody wanted him. But today, Sky knows that Jesus wants him. That he is not alone. And that Jesus will never abandon him.
He’s made the decision to fully commit his life to following Jesus.
And this Sunday, Sky is getting baptized.
Grateful for Freedom Lake Ministries and the opportunity to see firsthand how Jesus is changing lives in this place.
