I love the curiosity of my 4-year-old grandson! He just called to ask me, “How old is Jesus?”

I personally can’t even begin to put my arms around the fact that Jesus always was and always will be. Nonetheless, I tried my best to explain it to him in the simplest of terms. All I can say is I’m so looking forward to arriving in Heaven and then having all eternity to explore and gain understanding of just “How old Jesus is!”

• John 1:1–2: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God."

• John 8:58: "Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.'"

• Colossians 1:16–17: "For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth... All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

• Revelation 1:8: "'I am the Alpha and the Omega,' says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."

• Hebrews 13:8: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

LOOK UP!!!!!!!

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, LET US STRIP OFF EVERY WEIGHT THAT SLOWS US DOWN, ESPECIALLY THE SIN THAT SO EASILY TRIPS US UP. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

WHAT THINGS OF THIS WORLD ARE INTERFERING WITH YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS? ARE THEY WORTH IT?

Hebrews 12:2 We do this by KEEPING OUR EYES ON JESUS, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

Psalm 119:37 Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word.

Psalm 121:1-2 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

SING WITH ME:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face

In the light of His glory and grace.
