PT mentioned him in a recent message, so here is some history for you. Today is the anniversary of the ex*****on of William Tyndale. He was strangled and then burned at the stake for heresy in 1536. What was it? He was accused of teaching that faith alone justifies before God, Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone holds authority), and that faith is enough for salvation without purgatory. It was all contradictory to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
