Why does God command us to give generously?

Because generosity isn’t about what God wants from us—it’s about what He wants for us.

It can be hard. It can be scary. We often trust God with our relationships, our future, and our struggles, but finances can be the one area we hold tightly to. Yet God calls us to live with open hands, not closed fists.

When we give generously, we bless others, invest in God’s Kingdom, and grow our trust in Him. Don’t let fear, greed, or distraction keep you from the blessings God has in store.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth…” — Matthew 6:19

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven…” — Malachi 3:10
