The gospel never gets old. From the very first pages of Scripture, God was already writing the story of redemption.

In Genesis 3, we see sin enter the world through one man, Adam, and with it shame, curse, and separation from God. But we also see God's answer: a covering, a promise, and a plan that was never an afterthought.

What does the oldest temptation in human history have to do with your home, your church, and your culture today? This week's sermon from Genesis 3:1-13 took an honest look at how the serpent's deception in the garden is still very much at work, targeting the God-designed roles of men and women.

The greatest trick the enemy plays is not just getting us to sin, but getting us to laugh at sin, hide from it, or blame someone else for it. Men, are you leading or standing by in silence? Women, are you building your house or tearing it down (Proverbs 14:1)?

"Christ has died for every sin you struggle with"

This past Sunday, we opened Genesis 3 and came face to face with a truth that cuts to the core of who we are: sin is deeper and wider than we know. From the serpent's cunning question, "Did God actually say?" to the shame that followed Adam and Eve's disobedience, we saw how Satan's lies are designed to make us doubt God's word and miss His mark.

But here is the good news. Romans 8:1 reminds us that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and Romans 10:11 promises that everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame. The deeper we understand our sin, the more we treasure the cross.

What makes a marriage truly thrive?

This week's sermon from Genesis 2:24-25 brought us back to God's original design for marriage -- leaving, cleaving, and living without shame. These are not mere suggestions. They are the foundation of a covenant that reflects Christ's love for the church.

When Adam first saw Eve, he broke into poetry!

She was the fulfillment of his greatest longing, bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. God's design isn't oppressive — it's glorious. Men and women have equal value but different roles, and when we embrace this truth with humility and joy, we reflect the wisdom of our Creator.

In a world that glorifies busyness and celebrates exhaustion, we're missing something profound: God rested. Not because He was tired, but because His work was complete. And He calls us to do the same.

This Sunday, we explored Genesis 2 and discovered that the Sabbath isn't just an Old Testament rule—it's woven into the fabric of creation itself. When God finished His work, He rested on the seventh day and made it holy. As His image-bearers, we're called to reflect this pattern: six days of purposeful work, one day set apart for worship and rest.

The Christian Sabbath isn't about relaxation—it's about worshipful activity, ceasing from our striving, and remembering that our salvation requires nothing from us because Christ has done everything. When we honor the Lord's Day, we're declaring that God's wisdom is greater than our productivity, and His rest is better than the world's hustle.

Are you ready to stop running and start resting in Him?
