Verse of the day

10/08/2026

A portion of Father Jim's message to our congregation is our Wednesday scripture.

There is a timeless scripture about a Christian community committing to worship together: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:24–25

Come join us Sunday to welcome back Father Jim to Zion! Service is at 10am in-person and YouTube.

Tuesday Scripture ✝️

10/05/2026

Monday Scripture:

“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”

‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬-‭15‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Thank you so much to the Rotarians and Avon Central School members who helped with Martha's Kitchen!

Shout out to Rotarians Ryan Pacatte and Karen Vanderbilt, who were joined by members of the Avon Central Schools Board of Education and District Office last Saturday to cook and serve a meal for Martha’s Kitchen.

Martha’s Kitchen is a service project of the Zion Church Avon that provides free meals to the community twice a month.

Thanks for your service!

In May we had our first annual thank you dinner and guests received packets of wildflower seeds as a thank you gift. We are so happy to see these flowers in bloom!

It wouldn't be without the wonderful church members who volunteer their time and energy to Zion. These flowers are a reflection of the growth and life you bring to our church 🌼 🌞
