Anchor is partnering with Cornerstone Women’s Health Center for the Baby Bottle Blessings Drive! 🍼

The funds raised help provide free prenatal and postnatal care, resources, and support for women and families across Lorain and Cuyahoga County.

This Sunday, pick up a baby bottle at church, fill it with coins, cash, or checks payable to Anchor, and return it by Father’s Day! Every bottle helps make a difference. 💙

Thank you for creating a place where teens can belong, grow in their faith, ask hard questions, build friendships, and encounter Jesus in a real way.

Whether you lead small groups, help behind the scenes, welcome students, or simply show up consistently, God is using you to make an eternal impact.

Yesterday, Pastor Mark continued teaching from the book of Mark, specifically Mark 8:31–9:13.

This was the moment when everything shifted.

Jesus began telling His disciples that following Him would mean sacrifice, surrender, and carrying a cross. It wasn’t the kind of kingdom they expected, and it wasn’t the kind of King they imagined.

Peter believed Jesus was the Messiah…
but he still struggled with where Jesus was leading.

And honestly, we do too sometimes.

It’s possible to believe in Jesus, yet resist the places He’s calling us to trust Him most.

But following Jesus was never meant to be comfortable Christianity from a distance.
It’s an invitation to surrender, obedience, and transformation.

Don’t just believe in the King… follow Him.

The turning point for the disciples came when they realized Jesus wasn’t just someone to admire…
He was Someone to follow.

What would change in your life if you fully followed where Jesus is leading?

Your time, energy, patience, and love for kids are making an eternal impact. Because of you, children are learning God’s Word, building friendships, asking questions, and growing in their faith in a safe and encouraging environment.

We are so grateful for each person who serves behind the scenes and on the front lines of kids ministry. Anchor Kids wouldn’t be what it is without you!

Yesterday Pastor Mark taught from 📖 Mark 7:24–8:30.

Jesus met people where they were; outsiders, overlooked, and often dismissed. A desperate mother. A deaf man. A crowd hungry for hope. None of them had it all together, but they came to Jesus anyway.

And He responded, not because of their status… but because of their faith.

What stands out is this: the ones who seemed “outside” often saw Jesus more clearly than those who had been around Him the longest.

It leads us to this question:
Do we truly see Jesus for who He is, or have we become too familiar to recognize Him clearly?

In Mark 8, Jesus asks His disciples, “Who do you say I am?”
That question still stands today.

Faith isn’t about proximity; it’s about perception.
You can be close to church, close to truth, even close to Jesus… and still miss who He really is.

But when we come with humility, like the “outsiders” did, our eyes begin to open.

Today, take a moment to answer honestly:
Who is Jesus—really?
