Sheep weren't created to provide for themselves! They follow the shepherd because he knows where the provision is, where the danger is, and where they need to go next. Pastor, you may be responsible for leading people, but you are still a sheep before you are a shepherd. When you do not know what to do next, your confidence is in the Shepherd who already knows the way.🙏

If everything depends on you, every decision, every ministry, every problem, every next step, eventually something is going to give. Jesus invested deeply in people and trusted them with the work. That is part of the calling of leadership. Ephesians 4:12 says we are called “to equip the saints for the work of ministry.”

Pay attention to who you are developing, but also pay attention to who is developing you. Your church will be healthier for it, and so will you.🙏

God has never been limited by what you have in your bank account, who is in the room, or what resources are available right now. Sometimes the provision starts with an idea, a strategy, a connection, or a direction He puts in your spirit that you did not have before. Pastor, do not overlook what God has already put in you. Peter denied Jesus three times, and Jesus still entrusted him with the words, “Feed my sheep” (John 21:17). Failure became a place of formation. Peter knew his weakness differently after that night, and he led differently because of it.

Pastor, when something misses the mark, ask God for the wisdom to see it clearly, own what needs to be owned, and carry the lesson forward. The Kingdom can benefit from what God teaches you there.💙

What we repeatedly think about shapes how we respond to the world around us. That is why Paul also tells us to take our thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. We do not have to give every fearful, anxious, or destructive thought permission to lead us.👏

Pay attention to what is happening in your mind. Bring it before God, test it against His truth, and practice choosing the thoughts that produce the fruit of His Spirit in your life.
