R2R is a faith-based recovery class. We offer you a sense of community and we’re drug court recognized.

THE VISION
The Road 2 Recovery is a support group that will guide participants as they dive deeply into biblical truths regarding specific topics related to achieving and maintaining recovery from addiction. Through group discussion and personal journaling, participants will discover who they are as new creations in Christ. THE STYLE
Meetings will be Christ-centered and biblically based discussions rather than lectures. Self-discovery and spiritual development will be the primary goals more so than academic study of scripture. Participants will be encouraged to share questions, struggles, and accomplishments with the group as well as keep a personal journal to document their spiritual growth. Milestone accomplishments will be recognized and celebrated. THE LEADERSHIP
I cannot always guarantee easy answers to your questions, but I can guarantee we will join you in prayer, even if that means sitting in the trench with you for a while as you face struggles and temptations. I am in this wholeheartedly because I am no stranger to the death and bo***ge that we call addiction. It is only by the grace of God that, as I write this, I am gratefully celebrating 5 years sober from a five-year IV m**h addiction (amongst other things). To the Father, be all the glory for creating in me a clean heart! THE TEAM
The Road 2 Recovery could use volunteers who can regularly attend meetings and who will foster an uplifting and supportive atmosphere via the following:
o Encourage sharing, discussion, and responsiveness among participants
o Use speech towards one another that is edifying and encouraging
o Pray for and with participants
o Patiently support and affirm participants on their path toward self-discovery
o Create an atmosphere that is free of condemnation just as Christ did
THE SCHEDULE
R2R meetings will be held at Engage Church every Sunday night @ 6:30PM. These are drug court approved meetings.

Recovery is a journey, and we all have som**hing to learn along the way. Sometimes the most meaningful lessons come from hearing someone else’s experience, realizing we’re not alone, or seeing som**hing from a different perspective.

📢 Road 2 Recovery – No Class This Sunday

During last week’s meeting, we took a vote and decided to cancel class this weekend due to many of us having responsibilities during Apple Butter Making Days in Mount Vernon! 🍎

Tonight at Road 2 Recovery!

Doors open at 6:00 PM and class starts at 6:30 PM.

Yet again, this lesson comes straight from my own struggles and experiences of learning what it really means to walk with Christ in recovery.

There was a season when I struggled with feeling like I didn’t quite fit inside the cookie-cutter version of what I thought a Christian should be. That struggle led me into a deeper prayer life, a deeper study of Scripture, and eventually a much deeper understanding of the Potter and the clay.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re just not getting this Christian thing—or this recovery walk with God—quite right, you might get som**hing out of this one.

You didn’t go through everything you’ve been through for nothing. ❤️

Last week at Road 2 Recovery, we talked about the power of your testimony and how sharing our stories can bring hope to someone who desperately needs it. Tonight, we’re continuing that conversation with “Don’t Waste What You’ve Been Through.”

Every detail of your story matters. Even the painful parts, the struggles you don’t understand, and the chapters you never would have chosen for yourself. God can take the very things you thought would be wasted and use them in ways you could never anticipate.

You may never know who needs to hear your story, what part of your journey will speak directly to someone else’s heart, or how God will use the details of your testimony to bring hope, encouragement, and freedom to another person.

Your story is still being written. And what you’ve been through can become part of someone else’s breakthrough.

Come join us tonight as we explore how God can use every part of our testimony for His purpose.

I want to invite you to join us this Sunday.

We’re going to talk about som**hing that every person in recovery has—a story.

Maybe you’ve been through things you never thought you’d survive. Maybe God has brought you farther than you ever imagined. Maybe you’ve never really known how to put your story into words.

This week, we’re going to talk about how to take those experiences and turn them into a testimony that can bring hope to someone who may be walking through the same darkness you once walked through.

Your story doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be real.
