Road 2 Recovery- Engage Church

Road 2 Recovery- Engage Church Engage Church's Recovery meetings- Sundays @ 6:30pm
R2R is a faith-based recovery class. We offer you a sense of community and we’re drug court recognized.

Come ready to learn about tough topics like guilt, temptation, neural pathways, & so much more! Welcome to the Road 2 Recovery

THE VISION
The Road 2 Recovery is a support group that will guide participants as they dive deeply into biblical truths regarding specific topics related to achieving and maintaining recovery from addiction. Through group discussion and personal journaling, participants w

ill discover who they are as new creations in Christ. THE STYLE
Meetings will be Christ-centered and biblically based discussions rather than lectures. Self-discovery and spiritual development will be the primary goals more so than academic study of scripture. Participants will be encouraged to share questions, struggles, and accomplishments with the group as well as keep a personal journal to document their spiritual growth. Milestone accomplishments will be recognized and celebrated. THE LEADERSHIP
I cannot always guarantee easy answers to your questions, but I can guarantee we will join you in prayer, even if that means sitting in the trench with you for a while as you face struggles and temptations. I am in this wholeheartedly because I am no stranger to the death and bo***ge that we call addiction. It is only by the grace of God that, as I write this, I am gratefully celebrating 5 years sober from a five-year IV m**h addiction (amongst other things). To the Father, be all the glory for creating in me a clean heart! THE TEAM
The Road 2 Recovery could use volunteers who can regularly attend meetings and who will foster an uplifting and supportive atmosphere via the following:
o Encourage sharing, discussion, and responsiveness among participants
o Use speech towards one another that is edifying and encouraging
o Pray for and with participants
o Patiently support and affirm participants on their path toward self-discovery
o Create an atmosphere that is free of condemnation just as Christ did
THE SCHEDULE
R2R meetings will be held at Engage Church every Sunday night @ 6:30PM. These are drug court approved meetings.

Welcome back everyone.

Tonight we continue Part 2 of our Humility mini-series, looking at how deeply this principle is woven into Steps 4–7. As we begin honest self-examination, confession, making amends, and growing in spiritual readiness, humility isn’t optional—it’s foundational. It’s what keeps us honest, teachable, and willing to change when it’s needed most.

Reminder: April 26 is the deadline to have Philippians 4:8 memorized. Let’s keep putting truth into our minds and letting it shape the way we think and live.

Doors open at 6. Class starts at 6:30. Drug court recognized. See you tonight.

Hey everyone, part of healthy self-control and boundaries is recognizing when it’s necessary to say no or “not today.” Because of that, class is canceled this evening.

We’ll resume next week with Part 2 of our humility mini-series. In the meantime, I encourage you to spend time drawing close to the Lord and continuing to work on memorizing Philippians 4:8.

See you all next week.
