May 24, 2026
Rev. Joseph Eggerman
Sermon Text: Acts 2:1-21
Sermon Theme: Asking the Right Questions

Welcome as we celebrate the birthday of the Christian Church! We are reminded that we are not alone in this world. Before Jesus’ ascension He promised that His disciples would “receive power from on high” (Luke 24:49). On the day of Pentecost that promise is fulfilled! To those who struggle in the world of sin and death, the promised Holy Spirit brings hope, joy, and new power for daily living. May the Lord’s blessing rest on you and bring you back to worship with us again soon!

Confirmation Sunday
Sermon Text: 1 Peter 2:4-10
Sermon Theme: Selected, Shaped, Set
Rev. Joseph Eggerman
We welcome you with joy in Jesus, our Risen Savior!
The Rite of Confirmation gives to each individual the opportunity to publicly make profession of their faith in the Triune God and to dedicate themselves to their God and Lord. This is a ‘confirming’ of the solemn covenant which was made with the Triune God at Baptism. May these confirmands, together with all of us, heed the Word of our God: “Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.” Revelation 3:11

Our Sunday School students had fun this morning while celebrating the miracle of Easter!

To continue learning about the Resurrection, our students created "empty tomb" treats using donuts, graham crackers, and frosting. It was a wonderful (and delicious!) way to visualize the moment the stone was rolled away.

"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said." — Matthew 28:6

While the donuts were sweet, the message was even sweeter: The tomb is empty, and Jesus is alive!

Check out their edible creations!
