Please remember our Sign Up Sunday is next Sunday, September 13th! We will set up in the Fellowship Hall directly following Sunday morning service with tables and serve team leaders. You will have an opportunity to learn more about the serve teams available at Midway UMC, and if you're looking for opportunities to serve, this is your day! Whether you'd like to work directly with people or stay more behind the scenes, there are plenty of opportunities to serve at Midway UMC and further the programs here at the church and also make a positive impact within our community—and beyond.

This event formerly spanned over three consecutive Sundays and occurred twice annually, however, this is now a once-per-year, one-day event, so we hope you plan to join us for this special occasion. See you next week!

It's so nice to have the College/Young Adult dinners back for the fall season! We had a full house this week to enjoy some chopped cheese sandwiches, super cheesy mac 'n' cheese, corn on the cob, and freshly made brownies for dessert. Sophie led Bible study on Proverbs 3:5-6 and did an amazing job facilitating discussion which leads us to explore how God is pursuing us throughout our life experiences. We ended the night with a riveting game of Werewolf, and thankfully the "villagers" ended the night on top, but we had some wily werewolves who got the best of the villagers on several occasions. We're thankful to watch this "community" gathering grow and enjoy seeing these friendships blossom throughout our time together.

Raise your hand if you enjoyed our Fifth Sunday celebration with testimony by Joe Pennington and the potluck afterward! Thank you to Joe for giving testimony about his life journey so far and inspiring each of us on our walk with faith. It was a joy to hear Joe's story and then celebrate together as he officially became a member of the church here at Midway UMC. We'd also like to thank all those who volunteered setting up and bringing food to make our wonderful potluck such a success. As our community grows here at Midway UMC, we're always looking for new friends and we invite you to visit us soon!

Community Bible Study with Shelia Hawthorne returns one week from today on September 8th! Come join the study on Isaiah following John MacArthur's book—Isaiah The Promise of the Messiah—on Tuesdays at 10:00am upstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome!

Mark your calendars—the Anchormen group will meet again on Sunday, September 13th at 1:00pm! Join us in the Fellowship Hall for smoked meat (by Andrew), an assortment of sides and an afternoon of competitive and fun games. Feel free to bring a side and a friend!
