Ready, set, go! What a wonderful first evening at our All Church Retreat in Montreat, N.C.! Our staff spent the afternoon preparing for the weekend before we all gathered at Freeland Hall for a reception. We kicked off the weekend with good conversation, fellowship, and plenty of excitement for all that is ahead. We are so grateful to be together and cannot wait to see what this weekend holds! One Worship Service + Pop-Up Sunday School This Sunday!
Due to the All Church Retreat this weekend, we will gather for one worship service at 11 a.m. this Sunday. Join us beforehand for a special Pop-Up Sunday School at 10 a.m. in the Ellis Room, led by Rev. Dr. Katie Sundermeier. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and join the conversation as we explore “The Workers in the Vineyard: Grace That Offends,” the parable Rev. Dr. Tony Sundermeier will preach on during worship.
10 a.m. — Pop-Up Sunday School
11 a.m. — Worship

This past Sunday, the Rev. Dr. Barry Gaeddert preached his final sermon at FPC as he begins his well-deserved retirement.
For years, Barry has shared his wisdom, faith, compassion, and love for this church with so many of us. We are deeply grateful for the ways he has helped shape our community and for the ministry he has faithfully shared with us.
As we celebrate this new chapter in his life, enjoy a short snippet from his final message at FPC.

This Sunday, we will celebrate the retirement of Rev. Dr. Barry Gaeddert, and honor his more than four decades of faithful pastoral ministry. At all three services, Barry will preach his final sermon, “The Good Samaritan: Grace that Crosses Boundaries,” at First Presbyterian. Everyone is invited to join us after the 11 a.m. service for a reception in The Correll Commons as we celebrate his ministry and wish him well in retirement.
