There is indeed a “shadow surge” in ICE arrests and continued cruel treatment of immigrants. Please stay vigilant, love others as Christ would, and do what you can to help your neighbor. Some PC(U.S.A.) resources are shared in this post.

"'Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?' He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’"
Matthew 22:36-39

As immigration enforcement escalates across the country, faith communities are responding with prayer, witness, and action.

The Multi-Faith Guide to Responding to Deadly ICE Enforcement from the Interfaith Immigration Coalition offers practical tools to help congregations and community members:
• Hold interfaith vigils
• Sign national faith letters (link in comments)
• Advocate for accountability and justice
• Support immigrant families and communities
• Our faith traditions teach that every human life is sacred.
Together, we can transform grief into action and solidarity.

As proud partners with other Greater Atlanta churches in sponsoring Haiti Ecovillages, and as lovers of all of God's people, we echo this call.

We need more calls in support of protection for our Haitian siblings! Please contact your senators today!

More than 330,000 Haitians could lose Temporary Protected Status (TPS) following the U.S. Supreme Court's June 25 decision allowing the administration to end these protections. People of faith have an opportunity to make their voices hear and stand up for our neighbors, church members, and community leaders reliant on TPS. The House has already passed legislation to extend TPS protections for Haitians through 2029, and the same bill—S. 4814—has been introduced in the Senate. Now, Senate leadership needs to hear from people of faith. Contact your Senators today and urge them to support S. 4814 and protect Haitian families and communities.

We also stand with the Rebel alliance.
This is the way.

In a moment when the Empire seeks to enforce unjust order, uniformity, and control, More Light Presbyterians stand with the Rebel Alliance—celebrating and affirming LGBTQIA+ people and working for the flourishing and liberation of all God’s creation.
