There was recently an incident that involved Deeply Rooted members that needs to be addressed: a pet that one of our caretakers owned was put down. The decision came after the dog bit both an adult and a child and drawing blood, which led to them consulting with a veterinary clinic, as well as making calls to four other counties. The information that the owner received from those sources was that their dog had a neurological disorder. (rage syndrome) Facts are still being gathered at this point to discern the full extent of the circumstances.

We understand that this event is tragic and emotional for all parties involved, and that the flow of information should have been handled differently. We ask that you grieve with the family rather than against them, and understand that being human means that poor decisions may be made with the very best of intentions.

Hearthfire is a term used in gaming, Viking dramas on TV, and ancient poetry. You hear the term, and you may see it second hand, however that is not the hearthfire. Hearthfire is felt when friends gather, hearthfire is worked for by chopping wood and hauling it home, the hearthfire is a shared experience. AT Deeply Rooted Church, you can experience the warmth of the hearth in real time. You can tell stories, craft, eat, and interact with others who value kith and kin. Deeply Rooted isn't a like on Facebook, it's an interaction with Hearthfire! Hail my Pagan friends!
