On Pentecost, the Spirit did not stay in one place. It moved outward — across languages, cultures, and every barrier people believed separated them. In that moment, a new kind of community was born, shaped by courage, generosity, and love. That same Spirit is still moving today. Give to this year's Pentecost Offering, which is equally divided between the region in which it is collected and New Church Ministry, when it is collected in most congregations on May 17 and 24.

As a congregation we are a part of the Christian Church ( Disciples of Christ) .
The special offering envelopes will be in the worship bulletins. Our gifts support new churches that evangelize for Christ and bring people to Salvation.

This Sunday is Miracle Sunday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) - Atchison, KS where a single offering will support our Lord's work and finalize fundraising efforts for our essential elevator project and expansion of our Children’s and Youth Ministries. Like when the little boy who gave Jesus two fish and five loaves of bread , we are praying that the Lord will honor our gifts with a miracle one Sunday.

John 6:1-15, Jesus feeds over 5,000 people near the Sea of Galilee using only five small barley loaves and two fish provided by a boy.

Sunday afternoon was an excellent time of music and celebration of our own Dr. Ruth Krusemark! She was celebrated for 60 years of service as our First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) - Atchison, KS organist! She started playing for the church services at age 14! Several local choirs from Atchison and Benedictine College (where Ruth served as faculty and chair of the music department) performed her several of her original compositions ( She has published over 100 pieces.). Following the concert our church provided a wonderful reception in Wolf Fellowship Hall. Thank you for@🎶 Celebrating Ruth Krusemark — 60 Years as Church Organist
