I will be preaching in worship this Sunday, but today I am at The National Christian Counseling Conference in Arlington (Right next to Ranger Stadium and the original Six Flags amusement park!) TX.William T Mitchell
Wonderful classes and worship. Speakers like Dr.George Barna, Dr.Daniel Amen M.D.,
and Dr. Harold Koenig M.D. ( both are psychiatrists). The worship also included a powerful 911 Attack on the Twin Towers Memorial that I felt was very appropriate and moving!

I received a welcome text Sunday afternoon:
“Pastor, I thought your sermon today was great. You hit on a lot of things that have been on my mind and heart. Thank you.”
I responded: “Thank you. Your comment is a welcome word of encouragement.”
The sermon was on Luke 23:39-43, this is the passage about Jesus and the two criminals on the Cross. The title was : “ Today, you will be with me.”
St.Augustine wrote of this scripture:”One thief was saved,so that no one may despair;
One thief was NOT saved, so that no one may presume.” One thief sees a dying man- the other sees a King! The final word is not death, the final word is relationship: “Today, you will be with me in Paradise!
This text from a fine church member was a welcome word of encouragement to his minister.I pray that you will remember to encourage your ministers and Bible teachers.William T Mitchell
