Lesson 2 tomorrow:
In Matthew 22:39 Jesus tells his disciples that the 2nd greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. It's been deemed the "golden rule" for how we treat others.
In John 13, after humbly washing the disciples feet (including Judas Iscariot) Jesus gives a new commandment for love in vs 34. The rest of that command is "... as I have loved you". How did he love us? With sacrifice, humility, and laying his life down for ours.
As Believers, we're called to a sacrificial love
