Join us July 16th-19th at the Drikung Kunzang Naktsel Forest Hermitage in Green Mountain, North Carolina, for the inauguration and consecration of the Hermitage's newly erected Dharma Hall.

The first 3 days will be the Thousand-Offerings of Namgyalma practice and teachings led by His Eminence Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche and other lamas. This is especially meaningful for those practicing Tibetan Buddhism. Registration is required due to limited space – stay tuned for details.

On Sunday, the wider community is invited to join us for the inauguration of the new Dharma Hall and the festivities that follow.

Tomorrow, Sunday May 31, is Saka Dawa Düchen, the day we celebrate the Buddha’s enlightenment and parinirvana. Its a powerful day to accumulate merit through acts of service and generosity.

Please join us at the Urban Dharma temple for our smoke cleanse, followed by a temple cleaning day to show your gratitude for our wonderful public space!

Smoke Cleanse is at 10 AM followed by cleaning from 12-2 pm. Many hands make light work!

Open Sangha meets every Thursday, 7:30-9pm. We sit on cushions, chairs and pews together—learning to let body and mind “settle into their own places.” We sip tea and snack on homemade and store-bought delights together. We listen to, we reflect on and we discuss the Buddha’s teachings together. And most of all, we come together for community, for our shared humanity in all its fullness and messiness.

Join us whenever you can! We don’t collect dues, we don’t require payments. Come as often as you can. We will always have a seat for you. We will always have hot water and fragrant tea ready. And we will always have the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha for you at Urban Dharma!
