Inspiration

In verse 10 of this chapter, "Israel His (God's) people" is referenced; in verse 11, "My people" is used in reference to Israel; and in verse 14, "My people" does not change reference. It refers to Israel. Thus, God says here that if Israel His people will humble themselves and repent of their wicked ways, He will heal their land. God will deal the same with any other nation, healing their land if national repentance takes place. But today, the only hope for national repentance is if repentance begins in the Church of God, for the world knows not God.

Prayer

O Lord, we need not twist this verse to refer to the Church instead of Israel in order to learn its principle and apply it in our day and situation. It is true today as it was then that you will hear and heal when men of any nation turn from their wicked ways. We pray for such a revival, for we badly need it. We know that such a revival will need to begin in the Church. We pray you will revive each one of us and begin a mighty work, for which you will get all the glory. Amen.

Inspiration

Before any man can come to God for mercy, he must first have faith to believe both that God exists and that God will make Himself known to those who seek Him with all their heart. All who truly seek God, find Him, for He lets Himself be found of such.

Prayer

God, I believe not only that You exist but also that You will reward those who diligently seek You. You will be found of those whose hearts truly wish to find You. You will give righteousness to those who hunger and thirst after it, and You will satisfy the longings of those who thirst after God. Amen.

Inspiration

Every single part of us should be dedicated to godliness and righteousness. We should never let any of our thoughts, gifts, or talents profit the enemy and his kingdom of darkness. From the job that you work in to the workouts you do, make sure that they give glory to God.

Prayer

Dear God, I commit all my thoughts, gifts, talents, and activities into your hands. Lord, may you show me the ones that do not bring glory to your name and may you help me only do the ones that reflect you in your true light. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

INSPIRATION

A question known to all Christians is: "what would Jesus do? " The glorious truth of the matter is that we already have plenty of examples within the Bible from which to extrapolate and help guide us. The short answer is to live in love and harmony with ones fellow man, to the extent that hurting any would be an anathema. Christ, though the Son of God, humbled himself washing the feet of those society deemed unworthy. Could you, yourself, love other so?

PRAYER

Lord, in the name you Son I pray, and thank him for showing us the way into eternal Paradise. In your infinite mercy and love for me Lord God, grant me the ability to reciprocate; not only to you, but all my brothers and sisters. For in the image of your only begotten Son, I see ideal and perfection I will strive to become. Amen.
