People have their reality, their reality might not be truth but to them it is truth, it’s their truth. Whether that personal truth is factual isn’t the point. Deception is used by the enemy to feed untruths to people that become their personal truth/reality.

The only way one can break the deceptive truth is to back out and compare to undefiled truth. A truth not leaning to or away from them but a truth that stands alone and applicable to everyone regardless of how it makes us feel.

Feelings can bastardize the truth and thereby bend it enough to point truth more towards ones deceived heart instead of leading them out of oppression and hurt. The compromised/bastardized truth supports their hurt and supports their oppressed mindset thereby creating a deeper bo***ge instead of freedom brought to us through actual truth.

Actual truth will challenge your stance on various mindsets about various life situations and actual truth will lead us out of bo***ge. If we acknowledge our position and accept that we are broken. Actual truth pulls us out of brokenness into healing and healing leads to restoration with the Father. Here in-lies the freedom in which we were created to live.

Today ask yourself:
Have I been bending the truth to appease my life or am I allowing truth to restore me to the Father by healing and restoring me from my brokenness?

Align your hearts people.

Season of listening:

When one will remove themselves from the norm of life you will find the voice of the Lord the loudest.

Some people have a lot to say but rarely listen. Others rarely speak but listen carefully.

On this journey I have learned to close my mouth and transition into a listener. Not to people, to God. Many people want counsel but that is because they are not still long enough to connect to God’s voice or they do not like what they hear so they want counsel telling them to do what they want.

Obedience to God rarely aligns with what a person wants. It usually goes against their, comfort, desires or dreams. I find it sad and somewhat amusing when we think we know what makes us happy. Those things of pleasure can be the thing that sends you straight to hell. Yes I said it hell! God has a plan and a purpose for you and yet you deny it because it doesn’t align with what you want. Moses, Jonah, David, Joseph, Jesus, every disciple etc. None of these men at first wanted to obey. They wrestled with, suffered, and in the end died to their flesh (desires) to walk out God’s plan.

How many will stand before Him and acknowledge they chose comfort, desires, etc., over His will?

In the space of listening you are guided into obedience knowing you have to let go of certain things. But those things are sacrifices for God.

I STRONGLY urge you not to discount His voice in these days. I STRONGLY urge you to get to a place where you hear Him clearly, I STRONGLY urge you NOT to take counsel of others and discount what God has told you, I STRONGLY urge you to do what is necessary to be obedient to God’s voice.

Here in-lies the beauty of this place…. There is no doubt going forward. There is no inconsistency in your life. You will be steadfast, a rock, a person of faith and understanding.

The lesson to be learned….

Quite yourself, take a vow of silence even for an hour and still yourself and listen to God. Sit in silence, no music, no tv, perfect silence and quite your spirit and allow God to speak.

I practice silence daily. Sometimes for 15 minutes sometimes for hours. When you drive turn off your radio. Make your spirit available to God.

People will tell you what to do if asked. Trust me… I’ve been asked more times than I can count but I refuse to tell someone what to do. It is imperative they hear from God. Hearing from God happens in the silent place. Still yourself, open your heart and listen.

Matthew 7:21-23
New King James Version

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Blessings everyone! This Sunday I will be teaching on the first core tenet of our church. Repentance, now wait before you scroll…why do we repent? Most of us believe it’s so we acknowledge our wrong doings, yes, that’s part of it. But I want to study one of many things that happens through repentance.

Acts 3:19 NKJV Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

There is a lot to unpack here. However, I want to focus on “refreshing.” I want to give you an analogy. I currently subscribe to a car wash, which I pay a flat fee and I can have my car washed at any time as many times as I want for one price. Matter of fact, just the other day I was getting my car washed and as they were drying it off it began to rain. The guy drying the car looked at me and said, “after the rain stops come back and will wash it again.” However, if I do not go to the car wash, they can’t clean my car. I have a sticker on my windshield and all I have to do is pull up, they scan it and send me to the car wash, dry it off, vacuum it, etc.

I want you to see repentance just like that sticker on my windshield. When you repent you go through the car wash of Christ, he cleanses you. He refreshes you. He makes you new again through his presence and you come out the other side feeling better than when you went in. Every time I drive into that car wash my car is dirty, but when I drive out, it is clean.

Repentance is the car wash for your soul if I may. If you need refreshing start every single day with repentance. Repent throughout the day, repent when the Holy Spirit convicts.

The tricky thing about repentance is that you have to lay down your pride in order to do it. If you’re one of those people that has to be right or knows everything it’s very hard to acknowledge you need repentance. You try to jockey yourself into justification for your actions and therefore you wear yourself out and your soul begins to dry out. I don’t think I’ve repented as much as I have in the past 2 1/2 months and I’ve never been so refreshed!

I encourage you all read this verse. There’s a lot more to it, but I wanted to leave this with you all.

For those of you that will be in Grand Prairie Texas Sunday. I look forward to seeing you and sharing the full word with you.

Transformational Christianity

- [ ] This takes place in the place of suffering/cost.

- [ ] As hanging bleeding on the cross, the spirit of God invades our spirit and begins reforming it back into his likeness (character).

- [ ] Those things that once kept us from close communion with God are now removed and we see differently, feel differently, hear differently, desire differently.

- [ ] Oh the joy of being reunited with the Father in love. We now are controlled not by the lust of our flesh but by the love of God which is not control at all. Love is willing not forced, submitting not resistant, obedient not rebellious.

- [ ] This love transforms us into creations of the glory of God! Jesus once dead to flesh was then glorified by the Father. As true Christians we cannot be carriers of His glory without the cross experience. If the experience doesn’t cost you I question if you’ve gotten to where the glory is disbursed.

- [ ] We are living a comfortable pleasure ridden life with Christ sprinkled in. Jesus is coming back for a prepared bride and I’m concerned the bride isn’t prepared. Her wedding garment is not quite finished, or stained. Her trunk isn’t packed ready for the groom to return, her lamps are not FULL of oil!

When is enough enough? In my recent transition I am being recalibrated. How you ask? The scripture that comes to mind is:

Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

We have accepted Jesus were good right? Unfortunately you just opened the door. It’s like pulling into the mall and walking in the door and saying you went shopping. No friends, accepting Christ gets you in the door, now comes the part of transforming back into the creation He made you. Yes I know you go to church, read your Bible and pray… that is great! Are you allowing yourself to be transformed by the spiritual formation practices? It’s called “spiritual FORMATION” for a reason. It is to form/transform us.

Do we put limitations on the depth of our transformation? Do we say that’s enough? Or I didn’t sign up to change? Or God loves me the way I am? Yes, He does, but His plan for you requires transformation. Ask the Apostle Paul, Moses, David, Joseph, Jacob, etc. What is the giants of the Bible had determined they didn’t need transformation? Well, I don’t think we would be writing about them. Well maybe, there was a man named Judas Iscariot that would not accept The Word, Jesus and because he refused to accept transformation he is known for betrayal and a life ending too soon.

So here is the question…

How deep are you allowing God to transform you?

What are you will to let go of?

What thing is anchoring you?

Let go and allow God to transform you!!!

It’s done! We dropped off our daughter at college. Wow the preparation was crazy and my wife did 95 percent of it. Scheduling, money, time, effort, supplies, logistics and on and on.

All of this was to put our daughter in a position for success. This was all done for what we can see. All this effort, resources etc for this life we live. I was taken back by all the parents setting up dorms, packing and unpacking, making trips to Target, Walmart, Home Goods and the like. So much detail, love and thought went into this one moment. It really hit me when my wife looked at me and said, “all this has to be undone in nine months.”

So here is the revelation in the moment…

All the planning, resources, time, effort etc was for a nine month period. Do we put the same attention to detail when it comes to the eternal life?

Do we spend the time, resources, effort, thought, planning to reach the destiny of our souls? Do we take the same meticulous attention to every detail of our spiritual life? Are we as prepared for eternity as we are for a year in college, or a career or a vacation etc!

Do we take salvation for granted? Aw, He died for us and we have grace we’re good. Which one of the biblical characters are we aligning with that had the talents given to them?

I have sensed an urgency in my spirit over the past five to seven years. What is do to that urgency? Is it my mortality, the second coming of Christ? That I do not have the answer. What I will say is I want to pay close attention to my spirit man and make sure he is in alignment with the desire of my hope where he will spend eternity.

Awake o sleeper.
