It's easy to get consumed by the responsibilities of today.
Providing for our families.
Paying the bills.
Planning for retirement.
Managing schedules.
Getting through another week.

None of those things are wrong. In fact, they're important.

But Jesus constantly reminded people that there is a bigger picture than the moment we're living in.
Eternity.

Many people think eternity begins when life on earth ends. But Scripture teaches that eternity is already in motion.

The decisions we make today matter.
The obedience we choose today matters.
The way we respond to God's Word today matters.
God is shaping us now for what is to come.

Don't underestimate the significance of an ordinary day. What feels routine may actually be preparing you for eternity.

Sometimes faithfulness feels invisible.
The prayers nobody hears.
The sacrifices nobody notices.
The acts of obedience that never get recognized.
The care you give, the service you offer, the choices you make when nobody is watching.

But heaven sees.

Nothing done for His glory is ever overlooked.
Keep going.
Keep trusting.
Keep serving.
Your Father sees what others miss.

One of the greatest misunderstandings about Christianity is the belief that God is waiting for us to finally get our act together before He loves us, accepts us, or uses us.

But that's never been the message of the gospel.

The law reveals God's holiness and our inability to meet His perfect standard. Left to ourselves, none of us could ever be good enough.

And that's exactly why Jesus came.

Romans 5:8 says, "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."

Not after we got better.
Not after we cleaned up our lives.
Not after we finally measured up.
While we were still sinners.

The fact that we could never save ourselves magnifies the incredible love of a God who chose to save us anyway.

When we realize how hopeless we were, we begin to understand how great His grace really is.

Jesus said something so extreme that many of us would rather explain it away than actually apply it.

When talking about sin, Jesus said if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off.

He wasn't promoting self-harm. He was emphasizing the seriousness of removing anything that pulls us away from God.

The question is: What are we tolerating that Jesus is asking us to remove?
Is it social media that's feeding comparison?
A habit that's drawing us away from Him?
Entertainment that's shaping our thoughts more than Scripture?
A relationship that's compromising our faith?

Sometimes we keep asking God to change our lives while refusing to remove the thing that's holding us back.

What if freedom is on the other side of obedience?
