Waters Church - Apollo Beach

Waters Church - Apollo Beach A new Non-Denominational Christian Church serving Apollo Beach, FL and the surrounding communities. Everything we do is geared to connect people with Him.

We are here to reach, teach, and love people into the Kingdom of God. We are created for His purpose and He has a plan for us in the midst of this world we live in. We believe Jesus died for people; that He lives to draw people to God, and that He has given us the job of bringing people into a relationship with God. Waters is a church with locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida, and

it has active missions work in Guatemala and Peru. We partner with local and national ministries to share the Gospel and meet our community's needs.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We are grateful for their sacrifice and praying for every family carrying the weight of loss today. May we never take freedom for granted, and may we always remember those who gave everything.

What if your biggest problem isn’t people… but spiritual?
We spend so much time fighting people, situations, and stress, but the real battle is deeper than that.

Scripture reminds us that we’re in a spiritual fight, not just a physical one.
And without Jesus as your Good Shepherd, you’re vulnerable to the lies of the enemy.

But when you come to Him, everything changes.
He becomes your shield.
Your defense.
Your peace.
If you’re anxious… stressed… waking up in the middle of the night, don’t ignore it.

Let it be a signal.
Draw closer to Jesus.
Because He is in control over what feels like it’s controlling you.

No matter how dark it feels, God is still your light.
He strengthens you, carries you, and makes a way where there seems to be none.

“For you are my lamp, O Lord,
and my God lightens my darkness.
For by you I can run against a troop,
and by my God I can leap over a wall.
This God—his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.”
— 2 Samuel 22:29–31

The stone is rolled away. The tomb is empty. And the words the angel spoke that morning still echo through eternity:

"He is not here; He has risen, just as He said." — Matthew 28:6

This changes everything.

Because He rose, death has no hold on you. Because He rose, your past doesn't define you. Because He rose, the grave is not the end of your story — it's the beginning of a brand new one.

The cross was the payment. The resurrection is the proof that the payment was accepted. God looked at what Jesus did and said, "It is enough."

You are enough — not because of what you've done, but because of what He did. His sacrifice purchased your redemption. His resurrection sealed your hope. And that hope isn't temporary — it's eternal.

"Because I live, you also will live." — John 14:19

If you've never made the decision to follow Jesus, today is the day. Not because you have to earn it — but because it's already been given. All you have to do is receive it.

He is risen. He is risen indeed.

Saturday is the hardest day.

Friday had purpose — there was a cross to bear. Sunday will bring celebration. But Saturday? Saturday is silence. Saturday is waiting. Saturday is wondering if God is still there when everything feels dark and still.

The disciples didn't know Sunday was coming. They sat in grief, behind locked doors, believing everything they'd hoped for had been buried in a tomb. It felt final. It felt hopeless.

Maybe you're in a Saturday season right now. The diagnosis came. The relationship ended. The door closed. And you're sitting in the silence wondering if God forgot about you.

He didn't.

"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." — Psalm 30:5

God does His deepest work in the waiting. The tomb was dark, but it wasn't empty of purpose. Between the cross and the resurrection, something was being prepared that would change everything.

Hold on. Sunday is coming.

Who really took Jesus’ life…?
Today we remember the cross.
The pain. The nails. The suffering.

But don’t miss this—
Jesus was not overpowered.
He chose it.
“No one takes my life from me. I lay it down of my own accord” (John 10:18).

Every lash.
Every step to the cross.
Every drop of blood…
Was love.
This wasn’t a loss.
This was surrender.
This was redemption.

He gave His life—
so you could have yours.

Three words that shook the foundations of hell.

"It is finished." (John 19:30)

Not "I am finished." Not "It's over." Jesus didn't whisper those words in defeat. He declared them in victory. The Greek word is "tetelestai" — it means "paid in full." It was the word stamped on a debt when it was completely settled.

Every sin. Every failure. Every moment you thought you were too far gone — paid for. Done. Finished.

The cross looked like the end. Death thought it had won. But what the enemy meant for destruction, God was using for redemption. The darkest day in history was actually the greatest rescue mission ever launched.

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." — Romans 5:8

He didn't wait for you to clean up. He didn't wait for you to be worthy. He came for you right in the middle of your mess — and He paid a price you never could.

On the night before He gave everything, Jesus sat down with His closest friends — and He served them.

He broke bread. He poured wine. And He said, "Do this in remembrance of Me" (Luke 22:19).

This wasn't just a meal. It was a covenant — an unbreakable promise sealed in His own blood. Jesus knew what was coming. The betrayal. The cross. The weight of every sin that would ever be committed. And still, He chose the table. Still, He chose us.

Communion isn't ritual. It's a reminder that before the suffering came, love came first. Before the nails were driven, bread was broken — for you.

Tonight, as we remember, let this settle deep: the God of the universe wanted one more meal with the people He loved before He laid His life down for them.

"For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes." — 1 Corinthians 11:26

He came as King… but not the King they expected.

On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey, and the crowds cried out:
“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”

But this was not random.
This was prophecy being fulfilled.

“Rejoice greatly… behold, your King is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is He, humble and mounted on a donkey.” — Zechariah 9:9

The King had come.
Not to take a throne… but to go to a cross.

And many who shouted “Hosanna” would soon cry “Crucify Him.”

This is the beginning of Holy Week.
Don’t miss what it means.
