Waters Church - Apollo Beach A new Non-Denominational Christian Church serving Apollo Beach, FL and the surrounding communities. Everything we do is geared to connect people with Him.

We are here to reach, teach, and love people into the Kingdom of God. We are created for His purpose and He has a plan for us in the midst of this world we live in. We believe Jesus died for people; that He lives to draw people to God, and that He has given us the job of bringing people into a relationship with God. Waters is a church with locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida, and

it has active missions work in Guatemala and Peru. We partner with local and national ministries to share the Gospel and meet our community's needs.

I performed a wedding on our stage recently — one of my own kids, all grown and starting a new chapter. It got me thinking about what we're actually building into the next generation.

There's a church in Revelation 2 that did everything right. Sound doctrine. Hard work. They never gave up. And Jesus still had something against them — they'd lost their first love. That's the trap for us as parents too. We can raise kids who are busy, successful, and impressive, and still miss the one thing that matters most.

Remember Martha in Luke 10 — so busy serving Jesus that she missed sitting at His feet? Jesus didn't rebuke her effort. He told her one thing was necessary. Don't "Martha" your parenting. Don't "Martha" your marriage. A law degree, a business, a six-figure income — none of that gets your kids to heaven. Loving the Lord, and showing them how, does.
