Ecclesiastes 3:11a - He has made everything beautiful in its time.

The prickly pear in my yard is in full bloom. I always love seeing the beautiful flowers that come from such a mean and ugly plant. In the background you can see one of the paddles that has gotten knocked off the plant. Not only has it not dried up and died, it is sprouting new life! God's creations never cease to amaze.

Matthew 6:27-33 - And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Proverbs 11:25 - Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.

Are you being a fountain or a drain? Do you have an attitude that constantly pulls energy, validation & joy from others (a drain) or are you someone that overflows with life, positivity & service (a fountain)?

If we're honest with ourselves we all spend time as each because life is hard & some days are better than others. That's ok! That's why we have friends, family & church family to support us. Just don't unpack and live in the low spots.

So how do you move from being a drain to a fountain?

Focus on giving - look for ways to bring encouragement, peace or practical help to others.

Speak life - make a conscious effort to build others up with your words & avoid lingering on gossip or complaints.

Most importantly - Stay connected to your Souce - a fountain can't give water if it isn't connect to a supply line - spending time in prayer ensures you are being continually filled so you can genuinely give.

The youth leave for camp today. Please join us in praying for them this week.

Pray for our leaders - pray for wisdom, strength, & hearts ready to serve with joy.

Pray for our students - pray that they would be open to God's voice, make lasting friendships, & encounter Jesus in a real way.

Pray for the camp staff - pray for energy, encouragement, & spiritual guidance as they pour into each camper.

Pray for safety - pray for safety in their travels, activities & every moment in between.

Pray for lives to be changed - pray that this would be a turning point in the lives of our youth & even the adults attending with them.

Pray for God's hand to be over every detail & that His presence would guide, protect & bless the entire week.
