Our hearts are so full after this year’s Passion Play and we hope you feel the same way!

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank every single person who poured their time, energy, dedication, and love into making this yeas Passion Play possible. From those on stage to those working behind the scenes, from planning and preparation to the smallest unseen details! Thank you for giving your all over the last couple months!

We know many of you sacrificed personal time and stretched yourselves to serve, and it did not go unnoticed. Because of the hardest work and faithfulness, this year’s Passion Play didn’t just happen, it moved people and brought us closer together! We’ve seen so many kind words and powerful reviews shared online, and more importantly, we’ve heard how lives were touched and hearts were stirred.

That’s what it’s all about and to God be the glory for all that was done this past Easter weekend!

We would like to invite you to join us tomorrow morning at 10:15am for our Easter Sunday Service. The Easter Bunny plans to show up during the Easter Egg Hunt following service.
But let us not forget the true reason of Easter. HE IS RISEN!

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 NIV

It’s Friday.

Jesus is in custody.

Judas is ridden with guilt. He returns the silver, his betrayal payment, and hangs himself.

Religious leaders deliver Jesus to Pilate, the governor. Each Passover, Pilate releases one prisoner to the crowd. Barabbas, a prisoner guilty of theft, insurrection and murder, is brought in.

Pilate asks Jesus - are you the king of the Jews? Jesus confirms.

Pilate asks the crowd who to release. Barabbas.

He asks what he should do with Jesus, they shout - Crucify him. Crucify him.

Jesus is delivered to the soldiers. They place a crown of thorns on his head. They mock him, beat him, strip him of his clothes.

They head for Golgotha. Jesus bears the burden of carrying his own cross. He is too weak. Simon, a passerby, takes the cross and carries it on Jesus’ behalf.

Jesus, spotless and innocent, is hung on the cross. A nail in each hand and a nail in his feet. A sign is placed above his head reading - King of the Jews.

They mock him, insult him, spit on him, pierce his side with a sword.

Hours of agony pass. Jesus cries out - Father, forgive them. Jesus, in his final moments, prays mercy over his enemies that they may come to know and believe in him.

With one final cry Jesus proclaims - it is finished.

Jesus hangs his head. He gives up the ghost. The veil of the temple is torn, top to bottom, in two.

Joseph takes Jesus’ body. He wraps him in clean linens. He places him in a tomb, a borrowed tomb, belonging to Joseph. He seals the tomb with a stone.

With that, the plan for salvation is complete.

Sin, paid for. Debt, paid for. A promise of hope, mercy, forgiveness, eternal life. Free, if we’ll just trust him. Believe in him.

It’s Friday. But Sunday is coming.

Join us THIS morning at 10:15 AM for our Christmas service!

Our children will be singing, and it’s going to be a beautiful time of worship, joy, and celebration. Let’s come together to remember the true reason for the season, Jesus Christ.
We’d love to see you and your family there!

This image is currently circulating and we thought it went perfectly with Pastor Lewis' Wednesday Night Bible Study. Here is a summary of his message...

Entering into the Christmas season, it is so important for us to pause and remember what this time is truly about. If the enemy can’t make us angry, he’ll try to make us busy and distracted by schedules, spending, and the pressure to please everyone around us.

Christmas was never meant to be about money, stress, or trying to make everyone else happy. The season is about Christ. When we focus more on pleasing man than pleasing God, we risk leaving Christ out of Christmas altogether. We need to be yoked with Christ for the absolute best outcome of the season.

Lord, help us get Christmas right. Help us slow down, think wisely, and spend intentional time with family, friends, and most importantly, You. Help us remember every day leading to Christmas the true reason for the season.

Pastor Lewis used Galatians 1:10, Ephesians 5:15-17 and Matthew 11: 28-30 during his Bible study.
