Eat Local, Shop Local Event

Friday, June 5th the City of Angleton is hosting a free community event and concert, Eat Local, Shop Local. The event will feature live music from Southern County Line and Tribute to George Strait performed by Derrick Spence all beginning at 7:00 p.m. Event will be held at the County Parking lot near the Heart in downtown Angleton.
First Presbyterian Church has reserved a space to promote our church.
If anyone would like to volunteer and help, we will have literature and popcorn to give out.

Pentecost Sunday – May 24th Wear RED! (tie, dress, blouse, shirt, etc.)

In the Presbyterian church, wearing red on Pentecost Sunday is a symbolic act representing the miracle that happened on the Day of Pentecost: the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles. Red is often associated with fire, symbolizing the "tongues of fire" that appeared above the apostles on Pentecost in Acts 2:1-4.

Every Sunday we like to have an extra adult for Sunday School and children's time in the balcony. Rosy teaches the lessons in Sunday school and works with the children during church. Your role is to enjoy getting to know our children, talk about God and be there in case an extra adult is needed. We have had some great volunteers....and hope to continue.
