In today’s reading, Jesus teaches about humility, counting the cost of discipleship, and the danger of allowing money to control our hearts. Through the parables of the lost sheep, lost coin, and prodigal son, we see the incredible joy of heaven when the lost are found.

God isn’t impressed by status or possessions. He wants a surrendered heart. No matter how far someone has wandered, His call to repent and return remains.

Life is more than what you own, what you earn, or what you worry about. Put God first, repent wholeheartedly, and live with eternity in mind.

In today’s reading, Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors, illustrated through the Good Samaritan, and reminds us through Mary and Martha that spending time in His presence matters. He also teaches His disciples how to pray.

Don’t get so busy doing things for God that you forget to spend time with God. Love people, seek His presence, and make prayer a priority.

Faith isn’t just believing Jesus can do the impossible it’s trusting Him enough to follow Him, even when the road is difficult.
