There's something worth borrowing in that. The people who have shown up for you, prayed for you, stuck around when it would have been easier not to — remember them today. Then tell them.

The crowd asked Jesus what work God required of them. They wanted a task list. He gave them a person.

That's a strange kind of relief. We can spend years trying to earn something that was only ever meant to be received — measuring our faith by how much we've done, how much we understand, how many hard questions we've settled.

But the work God asks for isn't a performance. It's trust. Not "kinda believing" — really believing that God loved us enough to send Jesus to live, die, and rise so we could rise too.

You may never untangle every difficult doctrine. That's okay. Start where Jesus started: believe in the One he sent.

What would change today if you believed that were enough?

A lamp doesn't light the whole road. It lights the next step.

The psalmist wasn't describing a floodlight over his entire future. He was describing a small clay lamp held low, throwing just enough glow to keep his foot from the ditch.

That's usually how it works. You want the whole map. You get enough light for tomorrow.

But that's not stinginess, it's an invitation to keep walking close to the One holding the lamp.

Some seasons, the thoughts pile up faster than you can sort them. Bills. Diagnoses. The conversation you keep replaying at 2 a.m.

This verse doesn't pretend the anxiety isn't real. It names it as great. But it insists that God's comfort meets us right there in the middle of the pile, not after we've cleaned it up.

You don't have to have quiet thoughts to receive His peace. You just have to bring them.
